SunshineUN Features

Here is the default look of SunshineUN (From the chat screen).

Here is the Hotlist view, here you can browse other users files.

There is a handy filter (bottom right) where you can find the files you are looking for fast it will display only files that contain the keyword you typed, useful for large lists.

At the bottom are the controls for maximum downloads and uploads.

Here you can view your own shared files using an explorer like view.

It is very easy to add and remove shared folders. There is also a filter.

To access settings click view at the top of the client and click settings, this will display the settings dialogue.

General: Here you are able to select your profile, each profile you have will use individual settings to your own personal taste, this includes chat view - colours and fonts, files shared, and sounds. You can also change your link type and firewall settings/data port.

Folders: here you can modify where files that are downloaded will go to.

Download/Upload: SunshineUN has a feature that allows you to dcc send files to other SunshineUN users (like IRC) here you can choose what course of action will be taken if a user tries to send you a file.

Streaming port: I don't know much about this feature (never tried it), I think its so you can stream audio files to other users via WinAmp or other media player.

Chat: here you can modify settings that will change how your chat looks.

By enabling special chat view you can set custom fonts and the core text and background colour.

Max lines is the maximum number of lines that can be scrolled back before the text is lost at the top of chat.

Let instant message windows blink on new message should be obvious enough.

Autocomplete of names will attempt to complete names or words you have previously typed, (Usefull but can get annoying) give it a try.

Show timestamp, if this is checked every message that is displayed in chat will begin with the time it was delivered (Great for those who like it).

Here you can set sounds for many different events, this can be usefull to alert you to a message or when a download completes or fails.

Warning: too many sound events can drive you mad, use with moderation.

Colors: Here you can set the colours for almost anything in the client (core chat colours found in chat).

Warning: be careful here, its easy to finish with some text unreadable. I would suggest either a dark background with brightly coloured text (like audioGnome) or brightly coloured background with dark colours for text.

Mod+ If you have Mod+ status on the server than you will see server messages such as kills and bans, by adding keywords to this section eg. *ban* *kill* *nuke* these messages will be filtered out of chat.
